The Three Pillars

What this campaign stands on

Three interconnected pillars define Myla's candidacy — and show up in every priority she's running on.

Committed

Myla isn't a parachute candidate — she grew up here, attended these schools, and now sends her own child through the district. Her commitment is proven through 9+ years of active service on the PTA and School Site Councils.

Collaborative

Myla believes in partnership — listening, engaging, and working together to solve problems. Effective leadership requires both advocacy and collaboration, and that spirit is essential to revitalizing district trust.

Community Rooted

Myla's roots in Castro Valley aren't temporary or political — this is her home. Her leadership experience extends beyond schools into the broader community, including the Chabot Swim Club.

A Parent's Perspective

"I know what families need because I am a family."

As a working parent, Myla understands the daily realities families face — balancing careers and school involvement, advocating for a child's opportunities, navigating school systems, and trusting that our schools have every child's best interests at heart.

For over 25 years she's worked in supply chain, logistics, finance, accounting, and integrated business planning — managing complex budgets, holding teams accountable, and making strategic long-term decisions. Those are exactly the skills this school board needs at the table, especially when it comes to spending every dollar wisely and transparently.
